Delivery & Installation Guide
Playground Equipment Shipping and Installation: A Buyer’s Checklist
Shipping and installation should be planned before an order is finalized. Clear responsibility for packing, freight, unloading, storage, site preparation, assembly, and inspection helps commercial playground projects avoid preventable delays.
1. Confirm the shipping scope in writing
International orders may involve factory pickup, port delivery, ocean freight, customs coordination, inland transportation, or final-site delivery. These are different scopes and should not be assumed from one total price.
2. Prepare the site before delivery
Review gate widths, road conditions, turning space, height restrictions, delivery hours, and the unloading area. If installation cannot begin immediately, arrange secure temporary storage that protects components, labels, and hardware.

3. Receive, record, and organize packages
Keep the packing list available during unloading. Photograph the shipment on arrival, record visible damage, compare labels and quantities, and organize packages according to the installation sequence.
Before unloading
Confirm appointment time, vehicle access, labor, and unloading equipment.
After unloading
Check labels, quantities, visible damage, hardware, and secure storage.
4. Assign installation responsibilities
| Task | Confirm before delivery |
|---|---|
| Unloading | Vehicle access, equipment, labor, and receiving appointment |
| Inventory | Packing list, labels, photographs, and damage records |
| Site work | Dimensions, grades, drainage, surfacing, and foundations |
| Assembly | Approved drawings, tools, trained personnel, and supervision |
| Closeout | Inspection, corrections, maintenance information, and records |
Every project should identify who is responsible for unloading, inventory, foundations, assembly, anchoring, surfacing, cleanup, and final review.
5. Review documentation before installation
Collect the current drawings, component lists, assembly information, maintenance guidance, and project-specific approvals. Installers should use documents supplied for the exact configuration rather than relying on a similar previous project.
Browse our commercial playground equipment and review the project planning guide when preparing the order.
6. Complete a final project review
- Verify the installed configuration against approved drawings.
- Review fasteners, connections, foundations, and finishes.
- Remove packaging, temporary materials, and construction debris.
- Review surfacing and surrounding circulation areas.
- Record inspection findings and required corrective actions.
- Store maintenance information for the facility team.

It may be possible when the contractor has suitable experience, follows the supplied documentation, and meets the applicable project requirements.
